| The World Bank Mission’s Visit 23-27 April 2012. |
A World Bank interim mission team led by Mr. Rajesh Rohatgi, Senior Transport Specialist, Sustainable Development (South Asia), the World Bank, visited Odisha from 23-27 April 2012.The World Bank team consisted of the following members:

2.Mr. Krishnan Srinivasan (Consultant, GAAP Specialist)
3.Mr.Satya Ranjan Mishra (Social Development Specialist)
4.Mr.Sri Kumar Tadimalla (Co-TTL and PPP Specialist)

6.Mr. Amrit Inder Singh (Consultant, World Bank)
The team inspected the two road corridors of Phase-1i.e P-01 and P-02 on 24.04.2012. The SDS of World Bank also visited P03 and attended a public consultation on R&R at Digapahandi on 22.04.2012. He also has visited Jagatpur- Chandbali Road (P04) along with Mr Kirti Bas, Social Expert, PMU in connection with updating RAP of P04 on 28.04.2012.
The World bank Mission met and discussed with PMU Staff led by Chief Engineer,(World Bank Project)on 23.04.2012 and 26.04.2012 and with M/s Intercontinental Consultants and Technocrats Pvt. Ltd(ICT), New Delhi in Joint Venture with Grant Thornton Advisory Pvt. Ltd(GT-APL),New Delhi and in association with Arkitechno Consultants (India) Pvt. Ltd.as Sub-consultants, RSID consultant team, M/s Cybertech Software & Multimedia Pvt . Ltd., IT-ICT consultant team and M/s LEA Associates South Asia Pvt. Ltd., India in Joint Venture with LEA International Ltd., Canada and in association with Geo Infospace Pvt. Ltd, India as Sub-Consultants, Asset Management Consultant team on 26.04.2012. The Mission also discussed with Mr. Puskar Mallick Project Head the CSC (MSV) regarding optimum staff mobilization in the current scenario.
The mission met Engineer-in- Chief-cum- Secretary on 26.04.2012 in which the current status/progress in different components were discussed.

| Social Expert engaged for updating RAP of Jagatpur-Chandbali Road. |
Sri. Kirti Bas, Social Planner has been engaged as the Social Expert for updating Resettlement Action Plan (RAP) of Jagatpur-Chandbali Road. The period of engagement of the social expert is four months. Sri. Bas shall guide 4 teams constituted for undertaking the exercise and facilitate approval of the updated Resettlement Action Plan (RAP) by World Bank and RPDAC. The respective Executive Engineer (R&B) division shall lead each team.

Engineer-in-Chief-cum- Secretary, Works Department, Commissioner-cum-Secretary, RD Department, Engineer-in-Chief (Civil), Odisha, Chief Engineer (National Highway), Chief Engineer (RD & QP), Chief Engineer(OBCC), Chief Engineer (WBP), representatives from Finance Department, Works Department, Road Asset Management consultant & Road Sector Institutional development consultant and PMU officials attended the workshop. The workshop focused on the scope of services, vision, approach & methodology to be adopted by the IT-ICT-MIS consultant vis-a-vis the requirement of the PMU/OWD for successful implementation of e-governance in the state.

An in-house sensitization workshop on Right to Information Act, 2005 was held inside PMU premises in the conference hall of Office of the EIC (Civil), Nirmana Soudha, Bhubaneswar on 16.04.2012 . Chief Engineer (WBP) chaired the workshop. SE (P&D)-cum-First Appellate Authority (Civil), PIOs and APIOs of O/o the EIC (Civil), Executive Engineers, Assist. Engineers, Junior Engineers, Dy. Commissioner (LA), Special LAO and the supporting staff (DEOs),PMU participated in the workshop. Resource persons from M/s Luminous Infoways Pvt. Ltd., RTI-Centric website consultant to OSRP imparted the training. The objective of the workshop was to sensitize the engineers & other officials of O/o the EIC (Civil) regarding the provisions of the RTI Act, 2005 and to sensitize the participants regarding the recently developed tools available in RTI website (i.e. rtiodisha.gov.in) for effective handling of RTI application & subsequent reporting.

Er.Manoranjan Mishra was awarded the “Faculty Council Gold Medal” for academic excellence in Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) on the 21st convocation Day of Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar held on date 27 March 2012. Er. Mishra was pursuing the above higher education in XIMB since 2008 till 2011.

The contract Agreement No. 3 of 2011-2012 in response to OSRP Loan # 7577-IN have been signed between Chief Engineer, WBP, Odisha on behalf of Works Department, Govt. of Odisha and Cybertech Software & Multimedia (CSM) Pvt. Ltd. on 2nd March 2012 for “Project Management Consultancy Services for Strategy formulation and implementation of IT-ICT-MIS Architecture, Facilities & Capacity for Odisha Works Department [OWD]”. The date of commencement of service is 26-03-2012. The time period for the aforesaid Consultancy Services shall be 24 (Twenty Four) months as per the contract agreement.
